In my personal response to the question of what the relationship is between the divine and the world, I believe the Divine is found in all which is pure. Many spiritual traditions are heavily tainted, primarily through human error and greed, though the essence of what they are is beautiful and just as true as any. My belief about the reason for so many interpretations of the Divine is simply determined by a set of differing factors, such as; language, cultural norms, climate, and just about any other factor that makes humans different from one another.
For me, I grew up as a Charismatic Christian. Early on I saw the power of God, I was very closed minded to the idea that ‘He’ could be reached in any other way but through the Christian ‘path.’ It was when I strayed from this path that I started to see the truth and reality of the life I was leading. I started to notice the same feeling would arise in me when I was dancing, singing and being caressed by the energy and vibration of music at live concerts as I had experienced early on while raising my hands in worship for Christ at church. There is an energy that is created when humans congregate together with a similar set of beliefs and motives. With everyone using the power of their mind to try and reach God, miraculous things occur. This is why God or energy shows up in such varying types of religious rituals and services all over the world.
I believe that there are many paths to reach the Divine and I believe the strength of connection one has with it depends on the route and the familiarity of the tradition and how ingrained it is in that person. This is why so many stick to one tradition and develop a full and powerful relationship with the Divine through it. It is a cultural comfort and doesn’t go against conditioned norms that are hard for us to break and abandon. I do believe one can participate in many different traditions or one different from one’s own cultural majority. This is very true today because of globalization, we are seeing what is the first time for most a completely different take on life and spiritual traditions and practice. I think the most important thing to value and nurture are these different paths to the divine. It is imperative to have diversity in human life on this planet. The main reason being is that it is part of our evolution and soon to be reconnection with this Divine power. Humans have evolved according to differing factors since the beginning of time, we have the ability to view and melt into a different culture and perspective, which only develops and evolves our perspective more. This is why we must realize that there is no ‘one’ path, and that by having a plethora of differing paths we actually evolve our great unified path, which is the evolution of who we are, of our collective consciousness.
If we could bind together and realize that we are all after the same essence of love that we all feel in our different paths, we could truly transform the reality of our existence. It comes as no surprise though that there are higher corrupted forces that are poisoning the collective unconscious, in a motive to keep us disconnected and in war against one another. The most obvious poison is apparent in all aspects of our current modern life, that poison is fear. As long as humans are in a state of fear they will not evolve and achieve transcendence. I believe that the truth of who we are is becoming apparent and those with evil motive will in time be healed from the darkness that stones their souls or otherwise be cast away from this planet and far from the life force energy which sustains us, creates us, binds us, and evolves us.
