Can creatures other than humans contemplate beauty?

Can creatures other than humans contemplate beauty?

I think maybe. Though they don't need to explain or understand it, as we humans do, they just 'go' with it, such as with mating (like the peacocks). When something is 'contemplated' or 'thought about' or 'named' the essence or beauty of what it truly is, such as the name of God, is lost...because it limits the divinity of its true nature.
The reason that Abraham deemed 'God' Yahweh (meaning something like 'without name') was because at that time there were many different 'gods' and the way that they were 'used' was by calling out there name. This was not always a positive thing though because people could call out the name of a god and use it in a not so good way...By naming 'God' Yahweh he could not be limited because His name could not be used...
I’m using this story as a historical reference for the development or use of 'gods' and not as an all encompassing view of what 'God' is...there are many different stories in many other beautiful religions...this one is just interesting and encompasses the development of three religions: Judaism, Christianity & Islam :)
As far as animals...I think they are just smarter than humans, lol. Because they don't need to name something in order to be 'moved' by it. They just...exist...they are certainly affected when things are bad...but by just existing they accept the circumstance and are not emotionally depleted like we are...our contemplation or thinking is what disconnects us from the beauty that exists all around us...we're kind of dumb. Lol.
If any of you have not read ISHMAEL, By: Daniel Quinn....pleeeeeeease do. It is THE best book I’ve ever read and kind of explains a lot of ‘stuff’. Or go to http://www.ishmael.org. :)
